The Event
The 9th annual Freshtival, Canada's Premiere Ski Film Festival, showcases the eight most anticipated ski movies of 2011 at Calgary's Uptown Theatre. X-Game medalists, world renowned big mountain skiers and other top athletes starring in the movies will be there to meet and give autographs. Over $10,000 worth of prizing will up for grabs by lucky Freshtival goers. The final night's "Apres Freshtival Fiesta" at Julio's Barrio gets the local ski community together with the athletes, local ski industry and event staff to celebrate the upcoming ski season and close out the three day event.
The Movies
With films from industry giants, Matchstick Productions, 1242 Productions and Teton Gravity Research, progressive filmmakers, Poorboyz Productions, Inspired Media and Level 1 Productions, up and comers Field Productions along with the Canadian innovative style of Sherpas Cinema, Freshtival has every ski movie you want to see. Each feature movie is shown twice each night through a Christie high definition projector to give the best possible cinematic experience.
